• The height from the ground to the entry point.

• The available space extending out from that point.

• The width available for positioning the ramp.

How much weight should the ramp support?

          
Choose a ramp with a stated capacity above your dog’s weight. Consider the combined weight if more than one dog may use it.

Selecting a dog ramp that is too short will result in a steep grade, which can be dangerous for your pooch.
