Should I get a dog ramp or dog stairs?

A ramp gives a continuous incline and suits dogs that find repeated steps hard. Stairs take up less floor space and suit confident dogs reaching lower furniture. Think about your dog's size and movement, and how much room you have. Our guide to dog stairs or ramps goes through both.

What size dog ramp do I need?

Measure the height your dog needs to reach, then the clear distance straight out from that point. A longer ramp gives a gentler slope than a short one against the same height. Check the weight limit on the listing against your dog's weight, and use the ramp calculator to compare slopes for different lengths.

Do you have ramps for dachshunds and other short-legged dogs?

Yes. A ramp is usually a gentler way up than steps for a long-backed dog. For the bed and couch, see indoor dog ramps, and for the car, dog ramps for cars. Pick a long, low ramp so your dog never has to climb a steep slope.

What size dog car seat do I need?

Should I get a dog crate, playpen or kennel?
