How to calculate the width of a ramp with wings
- Ramps with winged edges are larger due to the wings. Ramp wings are usually a 1:4 gradient based on the height of the ramp.
- To calculate the width of a 100mm high ramp, add a 1:4 gradient wing on each side.
- Formula: Height x 4 = wing width
- Example: 100mm x 4 = 400mm wingh with each side
- Standard ramps are 900mm wide, so a 100mm high ramp with wings would be 900 mm + 800mm (400mm each wing) and would span 1.7m in total width.

All Heeve Rubber ramps come standard in black. Customers can opt for custom colours if the threshold ramp will be used indoors. Contact us for a custom colour quotation. Please note that custom colours are subject to an additional fee.
Because of the recycled nature of the ramps and external factors (different rubber compounds, dust, and colour materials used per batch), custom-coloured ramps would have varying shades between batches and would be unable to replicate previous batches. This would imply that no two colours would be identical between batches.

All ramps are produced within industry-standard tolerances, with a possible deviation of up to ±10mm depending on the product size. These variations do not affect performance or load capacity.
New rubber ramps may also have a noticeable rubber smell, particularly recycled models shipped in sealed cartons. This is normal, completely safe, and will fade once the ramp is aired out.

For a door threshold up to 35mm, 1:8 is fine. Above 35mm, choose the 1:10 ramp. It's longer, but it's the slope the Australian access standard uses for small steps.

This is completely normal. Heeve threshold ramps are made from recycled rubber, so surface glue or small loose edges are part of the production process and not defects. These can be easily trimmed with scissors if needed.
